The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a professional degree program that trains students to become skilled dental practitioners capable of diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral health issues, while also enhancing dental aesthetics and overall well-being.
The program covers subjects such as oral anatomy, dental materials, prosthodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral pathology, and oral & maxillofacial surgery. Students receive both theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical training.
BDS graduates can work as dental surgeons, orthodontists, prosthodontists, and oral pathologists in hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and the defense sector. Many also establish private dental practices.
